Dr. Fatima Janjua is a seasoned Consultant in Pediatric Neurodisability with over 30 years of experience in child development and neurodisability services. Her education spans across Portugal and the UK, including degrees in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurodisability from the University of Porto, a Master’s in Audiological Medicine from Manchester University, and a PhD in Pediatrics from Bristol University.

She held key leadership roles including Clinical Director at the Department of Community Pediatrics and Child Development in Bedford, England, and served for 15 years as Senior Consultant at the Child Development Center of Addenbrooke’s Teaching Hospital, affiliated with Cambridge University.

In the final phase of her clinical career, she moved to Doha, Qatar, where she established the Division of Developmental Pediatrics at Sidra Medicine. As Division Chief, she led a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for children with complex developmental and behavioral needs.

Dr. Janjua’s professional philosophy centers around innovation in service delivery and family-centered care. She strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach that involves collaboration between professionals and parents, ensuring each child receives timely, accurate diagnoses followed by effective interventions.

Her vision shaped the development of the Developmental Pediatrics Division at Sidra Medicine, a model that remains impactful even after her retirement. Although now retired from clinical duties, Dr. Janjua continues to offer guidance and consultation to both professionals and families, contributing her extensive expertise to the community.
